The Pilot Station Bushcare Group was formed in 1998 and continues regeneration of coastal bushland areas surrounding the Camden Head Pilot Station. The group focuses on the Pilot Station reserve, The Wash House Wetland and littoral rainforest surrounding Googleys Lagoon.
The Pilot Station hosts the annual Australia Council CCD Artist's Residency and the Watermark International Nature Writers' Muster, an event where literature enthusiasts, writers, thinkers and community leaders gather to celebrate literature and the environment.
