CMA Flood Disaster River Restoration Program

This project makes funding available to assist landholders and groups to under take post flood (April-June 2009) repair work. The funding is from the Northern Rivers Catchment management Authority

The project aims to:

• Continue working relations with landholders and their stakeholders involved in the management of this catchment.
• Increase community awareness, skills and knowledge in river management issues and on ground practices
• Improve river health within the Hastings and Camden Haven River catchments, including improvements in the condition of riparian vegetation, structural river channel integrity, and aquatic habitat connectivity
• Improve riparian ecosystems within the catchment

10 grants totalling $25,242 have been allocated to landholders mainly on the Hastings, Pappinbarra and Wilson Rivers.
